This 1960 Bentley S2 (chassis ASD05K13540430257) is a factory V8 car with a rare factory steel sunroof that has been off the road for 40 years and was disassembled in the late 1970s for restoration. Due to the previous owner's health, work was stopped in 1982 and the car and all the parts were dry stored in a temperature controlled warehouse until 2013 when they were relocated. That previous owner bought $38,364.09 of NOS spare parts and body panels, ( receipts included, and these are late 1970s prices!), plus many other parts and tools that do not have receipts. Restoration began in 1979 and the chassis, engine, front end and brakes were professionally completed with the body off. Every nut, washer and bolt, gaiter, seal and gasket was replaced (see pics). The major work that needs to be done is to the body, which is now mounted back on the chassis but is disassembled to the extent that it is at the stage where body panels can be re-fitted. The current seller rescued the car last year and has thoroughly photographed and organized the paperwork and components in the 147-image gallery below. The project is now available in Toronto, Canada for $25k USD.
