Bargain Older Resto: 1969 Triumph GT6 This 1969 Triumph GT6 (chassis KC51917) was restored in the '90s and the seller says that is remains in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition. We like these cars on painted wire wheels with these small bumpers, and don't mind a little wear due to road miles since the restoration work. From pre-sales to the final minutes, the format is wholly unique. The anti-sniper three-minute countdown is a game changer, bringing the online experience much closer to a live auction atmosphere. Post-sale has gone well. We had good communication throughout and payment was relatively prompt for an overseas transfer. The Port of Miami is ridiculously strict and requires some additional documentation from the buyer so the transcontinental part of the journey keeps getting delayed. Nevertheless, it's inching toward its birthplace. There is no question I will continue to use BaT Auctions for future sales and already have a few lots in mind. I'll keep you posted. The car is said to have been sitting since the '90s, and is offered as a project with a few rust spots and a good interior. 149 were made between 1978 and 1982.
