Single Family Ownership w/ 58K Miles: 1974 Plymouth Fury Suburban

Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban Wagon Sport Suburban 9 Passenger | eBay

This 1974 Plymouth Fury Suburban (chassis PP46M4D115768) has hauled three generations of the seller’s family, who describes it in a nutshell simply as “loved.” Well equipped with a 400ci V8, 727 TorqueFlite, heavy duty suspension, air conditioning, and more, the car wears a few dings and scratches, but remains very well preserved regardless. Mileage is quoted as just 58k, with the seller adding: “Starts, runs, drives (floats) like it’s still 1975,” parentheses their own. Find it here on eBay in La Porte, Indiana with reserve not met.

Full Records & Original Paint: 55K Mile 1991 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL

Mercedes Benz s Class | eBay

This 1991 Mercedes Benz 420 SEL (VIN WDBCA35E5MA589240) looks to be a very well preserved example, the seller noting all original paint and photos showing what looks to be factory interior fittings. Said to have only one (previous) owner since new, this W126 might not have the biggest available V8 or a menacing color combination, but with just over 55k miles and full maintenance records from new, it’s got plenty else going for it. Find it here on eBay in Dallas, Texas with a $10k BIN.

Baltic Blue 6-Speed Hardtop: 1994 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo

Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Hatchback 2 Door | eBay

This 1994 Toyota Supra (VIN JT2JA82L5R0017924) came from the factory with the excellent combination of a twin turbo motor, 6-speed gearbox, a hardtop, and Baltic Blue paint–the seller claims it’s one of only nine thus configured. Mileage is a bit high at 111k, but the car looks to be in very good shape, and remains almost completely stock apart from a TRD strut tower bar. Find it here on eBay in Tempe, Arizona with fast bidding and reserve not met.

Barely There: Very Rusty 1960 Maserati 3500 GT Body & Chassis

Maserati Coupe | eBay

This 1960 Maserati 3500 GT is a major project sold only as a body shell and tube frame superleggera chassis and tags. Everything else is missing, including the drivetrain, interior, brightwork, etc. Rust is prevalent, and the hood is unaccounted for as well, but one way or another, this car is definitely worth saving, even if that means a partially custom build. Find it here on eBay somewhere in the UK with reserve not met.

Korean JDM FWD Lotus: 1998 Kia Vigato

1998 "Lotus Elan" (if you know the whole story, it's a Kia...)

This 1998 Kia Vigato looks nearly identical to an M100 Lotus Elan, which is exactly what it is in essence, despite being built in Korea and fitted with a Kia engine. The Korean marque purchased rights to the model when Lotus stopped production a few years before this example was built, and apart from new taillights and a switch from Isuzu turbo four to a normally aspirated corporate powerplant, the design remained virtually identical. Sold in Japan (where this example came from) as the Vigato, it was simultaneously marketed domestically as the Elan. This one now wears Lotus badges, and though the seller doesn’t provide a lot of info specific the car at hand, they do claim it to be in excellent condition with just over 20k miles. Find it here on Craigslist in Vancouver, BC, Canada for $18,800 CAD (~$14,400 USD today).

Mazda Rotary Transplant: 1994 Suzuki Samurai

Suzuki Samurai Rotary

This 1994 Suzuki Samurai has been heavily customized in support of a transplanted Mazda 12A rotary engine. The seller doesn’t provide much in the way of mechanical spec details, but does let loose that the little truck runs what sounds like a nine-inch Ford rear end, as well as a custom cage and doors–note the cut-down sides. Lowered severely over staggered width drag style rubber, it’s undeniably silly, but also looks like a ton of fun. Find it here on Craigslist in Belleville, New Jersey for $8,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Ken W. for this submission.

Stored 55 Years: Complete 1938 Talbot Lago T23 Project

Other Makes Talbot Lago 23T Drophead Coupe Suicide 2 Door | eBay

This 1938 Talbot Lago T23 drophead coupe (chassis 8251NM) has spent the last 55 years in storage, only recently emerging in preparation for sale. The owner’s father is said to have been an avid collector, and owned more than 100 cars at the time of his death. This one has undergone a few partially finished restorative efforts since then, but has mostly sat waiting to be finished. The seller claims that it’s both very solid and complete, describing only a few minor spots of rust, as well as a free turning, matching-numbers engine. The car does look very restorable in photos, and certainly seems like it’d be worth the effort. Find it here on eBay near Pleasanton, California with reserve not met.
