Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

This 1963 Chevrolet Impala (chassis 31847S269785) was purchased new from Ness City Chevrolet in Ness City, Kansas with a '58 Impala used as a trade-in.  The car is very stock and original and is 99% rust free with only a couple dime size areas starting to pop behind the passenger front wheel. This is an unusual non-SS 409/340hp L33 car with an all original interior and minimal re-painting done decades ago. It is a great 92k-original0mile driver as-is, or the straight body would make it a relatively candidate for a re-paint if the new owner wanted it perfect. It is now available in Traverse City, Michigan for $29k.

RM's next big auction is taking place next weekend at the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, and their lot list is once again filled with some seriously impressive vehicles. We pick our four favorites below, but we could pick another dozen very easily. Find the full catalog here at RM's official site, and the sale itself will take place on March 8th on Amelia Island, Florida.

This 1965 Porsche 911 (chassis 301247) may be rotted, but there's still hope. The seller claims that the car is a COA-verified numbers-matching car, which would certainly justify saving. The brisk bidding also shows that there is plenty of interest in a complete but holey short-wheelbase Porsche. Find it here on eBay in Sheridan, Wyoming.

This 1965 Pontiac GTO post coupe (chassis 237275K109520) is described as a PHS-documented example with a verified 124k miles and two Southern California owners. A bare-metal restoration was done in the early 2000s and the car comes with its original, refinished California black plates. Four-speed GTOs in dark hues are among our favorites and this one looks like it has the goods.  Find it here on eBay in Woodland Hills, California.

Today kicked off the big Porsche weekend in SoCal, which includes the famous Lit Meet, a swap meet, and countless Porsche-centric shop open houses around the area. Here is a link to event info. We came across this cool 1959 VW single can at Willhoit Auto Restoration, where it is offered as an untouched original plumber's truck. We see many faked patina efforts, but this one looks authentic, and Willhoit is known to be a straight shooter, which bodes well. Get more info my contacting Willhoit Auto Restoration in Long Beach, California, where it is offered for $39,500, but not on their website.

This 1966 Honda S600 Coupe (chassis AS285C1001396) is described as a rust-free, running and driving example that had been parked for about five years. The car could use paint and interior work as well as some attention to the underbody, but it is in much nicer shape than most others we've seen. These were remarkably advanced sports cars for their  time, reflecting much of Honda's motorcycle expertise applied to a  four-wheel platform. Find this one here on eBay in North Hills, California.
