This 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible (chassis 185646174) was the subject of a careful, body-off restoration performed over a two year period in the mid-1990s. The car features some very well judged and period appropriate hot rodding touches, but overall retains a clean, close to stock appearance. Said to be meticulously detailed and in as-new mechanical and cosmetic condition, the car was put on display in a local museum shortly after completion in 1996 where it remained until three years ago, having seen minimal, fair weather road use since. It is now available in Butler, New Jersey for $58k.

This is the first update of a epic summer road trip in progress, that our reader Seth C. is documenting via reports here on BaT. We think of it as inspiration, and his intro story (found here) caused quite a stir. Feel free to send him your feedback in the comments section below! This update contains: New York City to Lake Como (via Warsaw, Dusseldorf, Luxemburg City, Strasbourg and Zurich)?.

We don?t often see Pontiac Super Duty-engined cars from the 1960s offered for sale, but this seller has two--a black 1961 Catalina 2-door post with a 389 and a green 1962 Catalina hardtop coupe that's had its original 389 replaced with a built 421 with SD components. Both are said to be ?delete option? cars with no heater, radio or other frills and are further described as solid examples originally from California. Find the 1961 (chassis 361D10540) here on eBay and the 1962 (chassis 362S13417) also on eBay in Yellow Springs, Ohio with bidding below reserve on both cars.

This 1970 Jensen FF (chassis 127245) is one of 320 built between 1966 and 1971 and is said to remain all original excluding a glass and trim out respray. Obviously based on the Interceptor, the FF was the world?s first production car equipped with either road biased four wheel drive or anti-lock brakes?the latter a Dunlop developed Maxaret system previously employed only on aircraft and large trucks. The car looks very solid and is said to be straight, complete and tight driving as well. Find it here on eBay in Aiken, South Carolina with no reserve. Special thanks to BaT reader Lex K. for this submission!

This 1978 Dodge Ramcharger 4x4 (chassis A10BF85227661) is a nicely aged original with a removable hardtop and a diesel drivetrain from a 1992 Ram W250 pick-up. The truck keeps a nice period aesthetic with factory steel wheels, paint scheme, and original bumpers, and the seller went to great lengths to have the intercooler hide behind the stock grille and the drivetrain operate the totally stock dash. The seller has a cool tone and did the swap himself, and sounds willing to share all the details of the build based on his extensive Power Wagon experience. Find it here on eBay in Vancouver, BC with reserve met at $11,600. Special thanks to BaT reader Jordan D. for this submission!
