Matching-Numbers 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne 409/425/4-Speed

1963 Chevrolet (Chevy) 409 Biscayne

This 1963 Chevrolet Biscayne two-door sedan retains its matching-numbers, dual-carb, 425 HP 409ci V8, and looks very good wearing factory-correct Monaco Blue over Fawn. Equipped with a Muncie 4-speed and Posi rear end, but no power steering, brakes, or much of anything else, this one should be a real handful. Find it here on Craigslist in San Tan Valley, Arizona for $43k. Special thanks to BaT reader GFK for this submission.

20 Years Parked: 58K Mile 1985 Toyota MR2 Driver

a

This 1985 Toyota MR2 is a first year model with a claimed 58k miles. The car spent what may have been several years tucked away in an underground apartment garage, and the seller has recently dusted it off and gotten it back on the road, noting fitment of a new radiator. They add that it runs well with no disconcerting noises, but also note that 20 year-old tires induce a slight shake in the steering wheel at freeway speeds–replacements are clearly past due, anyway. The car looks to retain a lot of originality, and though not without the odd blemish, presents quite nicely overall–further detailing will likely have it looking even better. Find it here on eBay in Emeryville, California for $4,750 OBO.

Ford 302/Automatic Swapped: 1963 Volvo PV544

a

This 1963 Volvo PV544 runs a swapped Ford 302ci V8 and unspecified overdrive-equipped automatic transmission, and though the Dayton wires aren’t ideal, overall the car looks pretty good–the color is great for example, and bodywork appears to be in nice shape. The interior has been partially customized as well, and the car should make for a comfortable, quick cruiser, provided it’s been properly dialed-in. Find it here on eBay in Port Williams, Nova Scotia, Canada with for $8k CAD (~$6,400 USD today) OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader PGN for this submission.

Front Wheel Drive Roadster: 1935 Georges Irat 6CV MDS

Never-Seen-One-1935-Georges-Irat-MDS-6CV-Roadster-for-sale-Three-Quarter

This 1935 Georges Irat MDS Roadster (chassis MDS1129) is (according to this writeup of another example) one of 1,500 or so 6CV models built. Featuring a 1.1 liter Ruby four-cylinder driving the front wheels, the French were experimenting heavily with this layout at the time–Citroen’s groundbreaking Traction Avant, for example, was released just one year before this particular car was built. The seller quotes a much lower total production number of 200, though regardless of the true figure, survivors are certainly rare. Offered from a private collection, it appears to wear an older restoration, but still runs and drives. Find it here on eBay in Hollywood, Florida with reserve not met.

385 RWHP: V8 Swapped 1990 Mazda Miata in Mariner Blue

1990 V8 Miata LS1 T56

This 1990 Mazda Miata looks great in Mariner Blue, arguably these NA platform cars’ best factory color option. Even better is the cammed, mildly breathed-on LS1 underhood, which the seller claims is good for nearly 400 RWHP. A few details could use more work, but as far as V8 swapped Miatas go, this one looks to be finished rather well, and the seller says it stays cool and runs reliably. Find it here on Craigslist in suburban Chicago, Illinois for $20k. Special thanks to BaT reader T.H. for this submission.

One of 367 Final Turbo Fours: 1995 Lotus Esprit S4S

Lotus Esprit S4S | eBay

This 1995 Lotus Esprit S4S (VIN SCCFD30C3SHF63060) represents the last incarnation of turbocharged four-cylinder power for the model. The S4S attained the highest output of the line before the next-gen V8 was introduced, and with only 367 built, there aren’t many opportunities to snag one. This particular car is said to run, drive, and brake very well, wears its original paint, has had no accidents, and sounds to have been maintained properly as well–the seller notes a recent $4k service partially consisting of a new timing belt. Find it here on eBay in Sussex, Wisconsin for $32,400 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Rob D. for this submission.

LHD Portuguese Import: 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS

a

This 1971 Datsun 1600 SSS is a recent Portuguese import, and has the distinction of being one of the few LHD SSS models assembled by the factory. This high trim level was never offered in the American market 510, and includes a nicer interior package with full instrumentation, as well as twin Hitachi/SU carburetors. This example retains a good degree of originality, and looks killer in pewter gray with a slightly high rally stage stance over blacked-out Minilite style wheels. Find it here on eBay in Richmond, Virginia for $22,500 OBO.

Mostly Original 78K Mile 400/727: 1974 Plymouth Satellite

1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus with 78K original miles !!!

This 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus is a 78k mile B-body coupe in mostly original condition. Cosmetically, the car appears to be in great shape with a very 70’s white-on-white color scheme and straight body panels. Said to have been lightly driven over the past eight years, this one is equipped with a four-barrel 400ci V8, 727 TorqueFlite and cold-blowing factory air. Find it here on Craigslist in Wells, Texas for $14,900.
