This 1960 Lotus Elite (chassis 1133) is a running and driving project car that is offered with a Cortina Kent 4-cylinder in place of its proper Coventry Climax engine. We haven't seen a drivable Elite offered at this price in some time, and the seller says that bumpers are also included but not installed. Who out there has a Coventry Climax sitting on the workbench? Find it in Santa Rosa, California for $29k. Special thanks to BaT reader Super7Driver for this submission!

9/26/2013 Update: Well over five years later, this Renault R5 Turbo (chassis VF182200000500060) is once again available for sale. Many enhancements have been made since 2008, including Sparco seats, an array of Cibie lights, and supplemental cooling. Find it here on eBay in Hicksville, New York with reserve already met. Special thanks to BaT reader Mike K. for spotting this as the same car.

From 1/10/2008:

This 1986 Renault Turbo2 has been legally 50-state federalized by Sun International, and has since been given engine upgrades like an Electromotive crank-fire ignition system. It has all original pearl(!) white paint and no accidents. You can find it here on eBay out of Shell Beach, California.

This 1973 Volkswagen Thing is said to be in 100% original condition, which if true is pretty remarkable considering how clean it looks in the photos. Said to be a two-owner car with an incredibly low 10k original miles on the clock, it's apparently spent most of its life in a garage with only the occasional fair-weather foray outside, hence its near-immaculate looking condition - apart from a small dent on the driver's side rear fender, it literally appears almost factory-fresh. Find it in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for $16,750.

Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

After getting the car dialed in the way we liked it, we hit the freeway out of Amsterdam headed southeast for the Eifel region of Germany. When in the planning stages of this trip we realized that a few free days existed between weekend events, and that the Nürburgring was was only a three hour drive. Adding it to the schedule was a no-brainer. In the end we completed five laps of the Nordschleife in the Alfa for a total of almost a full hour of track time. These days were the highlight of our trip so far!

This 1974 Volkswagen SP2 is thought to be one of only four or five of the Brazilian market sports coupes in North America, and is claimed to have been owned by the same person for 20 years. Said to be in good running condition with a nice, five year-old respray, the odometer shows a bit over 46k on the clock, but there's no word if this is accurate or original. We've been tracking these in the southern hemisphere, so for one to suddenly pop up in the USA is pretty crazy! Just please put some Empi or factory steel wheels on it ASAP. Find it in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for $22,000. Special thanks to Kevin F. for this submission!

This 1973 Datsun 240Z is said to be the subject of a recent bare metal restoration, and apart from a few small details, looks like it's fresh off the showroom floor - right down to OEM hubcaps. Said to be started from a rust and accident-free car, it was then repainted in factory silver and retains many original interior pieces. With 5,000 miles put on the clock since resto, it still looks very fresh, too. Find it here on eBay in Lakeland, Florida with reserve not met.
