BaT Auction Success Story: The $4600 E30 M3 Project This just in from the seller of the E30 M3 roller that sold in a BaT Auction last month (link): "Howdy BaT, The white M3 left today on a trailer headed for California. It will live again as a rally car. I have permission to start a thread on the car. I expect Peter (the buyer) to chime in once he gets the car and starts the build. Here is what he wrote me today: "The M3 will become a rally car. The plan is to make sure it's straight and rust free, and then seam weld it and put in an FIA cage. We'll put in Z3 suspension arms and will change the suspension pick-up points to fit Reiger WRC coilovers. For driveline it will get an S52 and ZF 5-speed. My plan is to run both tarmac and gravel events in it." I plan on following the car as it races through the PNW. I plan on attending an event or two, doing  photo shoots of the car in action. I will share the pics in the thread. In my opinion, this is the perfect ending/ perfect beginning for this particular M3. Thanks for listing it and helping me find the right buyer. Rust is prevalent especially around the rockers and lower body, but the car does appear to be largely intact and undeserving of the basketcase label applied by its seller. Super Clean: 1964 Chevrolet El Camino V8 4-Speed This 1964 Chevrolet El Camino (chassis 45680L149639) is a clean example in understated white paint but looks nice mildly lowered over Torque Thrusts. Power comes from a stock looking 283 V8 and shifting is handled via a 4-speed on the floor. We often tend toward the later El Caminos, but this one's simplicity has us taking another look.
