Sixteen Cylinders & AWD: 1999 Cadillac Eldorado TwinStar by Mosler
This 1999 Cadillac Eldorado (VIN 1G6ET1291XU609263) was modified in 2000 by Mosler. Called a TwinStar, these were named for the added 300 HPNorthstar V8 driving the rear wheels in addition to the existing factory FF layout, making for a twin-engined all-wheel drive package. This one is said to be one of five converted, which apparently sold earlier this year at Auctions America for $45k. Find it here on eBay in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with reserve not met, and here at the dealer's site for $39,900.
$4K for 400 HP: 1995 Mercedes Benz SL600 V12
This 1995 Mercedes Benz SL600 is a range topping V12 version, and though it’s a bit rough around the edges with 155k miles, it’s also just about the cheapest twelve cylinder R129 chassis SL we’ve ever seen. The seller says that it runs very well with working A/C, but also infers that it may need another sum equivalent to the asking price in pending mechanical work. Find it here on Craigslist in Islip, New York for $4k.
Better Than it Looks: 1964 Porsche 356C Project
This 1964 Porsche 356C seems rough on initial inspection, but a closer look reveals that it actually appears to be in quite decent and restorable condition. Described by the seller as a numbers matching car that’s “virtually rust free”, sale includes the original, “gone through” motor and a good gearbox. Well Kept Turbodiesel: 1985 Mercedes Benz 300TD
This 1985 Mercedes Benz 300TD (VIN WDBAB93C6FF048695) represents the last year of the famously durable W123 platform. This wagon has been regularly detailed and serviced over the last three decades, and though it has been driven extensively, the care it has received is immediately noticeable. The seller states the motor runs strong with no issues, adding that they would not hesitate to drive the car cross-country. Optioned with a sunroof, roof rack, third row seating and a great color combo, this one checks all the right boxes for us. Find it here on eBay in Los Angeles, California with a $12,950 BIN.
