This just in from the new owner of the Alfa Romeo F12 van that we featured here on BaT back in June: "BaT, Well, I bought the F12 van posted to BaT. I've known it for years; my family rode in it 10 years ago in Santa Barbara; the rain of rust on our heads in the cargo section was remarkable. I saw it posted to the AlfaBB and cajoled everyone more local to it than me to buy it. No one bit. I'm old friends with the seller, and after much discussion, and no other serious parties, we made a deal and I flew to Chicago August 1, meeting my bro-in-law Matt there, to drive it home to Berkeley. The trip was basically drama-free, but the F12 had had most systems rebuilt, so that was my expectation. This 1964 Chrysler 300-K convertible is described as a one-owner, 46k-mile example with special-order Champagne metallic paint, original interior and factory air. The car has undergone a refresh that included new paint in the original color as well as some mechanical work and looks quite clean. The 300-Ks aren't as rare as other "letter series" 300s and can be something of a bargain as a result. Don't restore one, buy one like this.
