This 1973 Ligier JS2 is a late production model, meaning it features a Maserati Merak/Citroen SM V6 instead of the rather more pedestrian Ford bent six of earlier cars. From what we can make out through the ad, it's recently been completely restored mechanically and cosmetically. Though not a great commercial success, the JS2 was a thoroughly engineered and well regarded sports car, and is a model rarely seen outside of its native France. We can't find an agreed upon production figure, but you can be sure there weren't many made. Find this one here on Leboncoin.fr in Western France for 65k Euros (~$86,000 today) OBO. This 1971 Datsun 240Z is said to be a largely rust-free car that spent most of its life in California. The seller says he estimate there to be roughly 95k miles on the chassis, but admits he's unsure of how many are on the engine itself. We really like the overall style of this car, with its intriguing mix of modern and period themes that somehow manages to maintain an overall vintage kind of feel. It's not perfect, but could easily be made so if you were so inclined. Find it offered here on VA Driven in Suffolk, Virginia for$14k OBO where it has been for sale for a month so there might be some room to negotiate. Click here to read more... |
