Ten days from now an impressive collection of 122 interesting cars will be offered outside Chicago, Illinois, all at no reserve. The Paul J. Burt Collection will be sold by Worldwide Auctions, and the sale offers everything form Alfas to Lincolns to Mercedes to Porsches, some perfect and some in project form. Mr. Burt has been a BaT subscriber since 2009, and inquired about numerous BaT Exclusive cars over the years while amassing his collection. Apparently it is now time to unload them all, and a few of our favorites from his offerings are detailed below. Which ones catch your eye? This 1966 Porsche 911 (lot #61) wears a spectacular shade of grayish blue that's among our favorite of all vintage OEM Porsche colors. The odometer shows 89,895 miles, but there's no word whether this is thought to be accurate. It's not perfect, but looks like a very solid driver with a nice, warm patina. This 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale (chassis 177254) is an unusual model to set up as a racer, especially now that they are commanding a serious premium in stock form. Finished with a bold orange stripe over white, this car will not have any problems getting noticed on track. It seems the seller either purchased the car at the Russo and Steele auction at Monterey a few weeks back, or offered it and didn't sell. Find it here on eBay in Corona del Mar, California. This 1997 RUF CTR2 Sport (chassis W09BC0364VPR06011) is the successor to the famous 1987 CTR "Yellowbird" that can be seen destroying the 'Ring in a very sideways fashion here. The old car had 469 HP, this follow-up model has a claimed 702. Said to have placed 2nd in the open division at Pikes Peak and count multiple PCA event victories under its very wide belt, it's definitely the kind of beast not suited to amateurs or those who like to remain stealthy.
