This 1958 Wolseley 6/90 is said to be one of only two in North America and less than 12,000 built between 1954 and 1959. If that is true, we might have featured the only other one here on BaT in 2011. Considered to be the last true Wolseley before later British Motor Corporation badge-engineering, these were the old marque's range topper and featured a BMC-sourced C-series inline six - a version of the same motor used in Austin Healey 3000s and the MGC. Said to be the subject of a recent body-on restoration, it appears to be a very tidy example. Find it here on eBay in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Click here to read more... |
This 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo Cup is a rare factory-built racer designed for competition in several series, perhaps most notably the IMSA Firestone Firehawk Challenge. Besides that series, it's said to have raced in SCCA SSGT, Pro Playboy, and World Challenge events, and count two consecutive wins in the Firehawk Challenge's 12 hour season finale in 1992 and '93. Fitted with many rare and specialized OEM parts like a magnesium sump, revised turbo, and Cup-specific suspension, they really were (and probably remain) competitive turn-key racers. Find this one here at Grand Prix Cafe in Southampton, New York for $89,000. Click here to read more... |
