Coys auction house of Richmond, England is auctioning off much of the fascinating and varied Karl Ritter Museum collection in Graz, Austria today. Comprised of over 230 lots, everything from restored farm tractors, a Zagato built electric car, go karts, various motorcycles and scooters to a Bugatti T57 will cross the block. The collection ranges from the sublime to the absurd and everywhere in between, with something to make everyone smile. Below we further detail a small selection of our favorites, all of which are being offered with no reserve price.
This 1961 Devin D is estimated to be one of only 60 built with optional Porsche components, while the other 100 or so made do with a VW drivetrain. Restored in 1991 by the seller, it was actively raced until 2001. Bill Devin himself is said to have been involved in its refurbishment, and as such the car features many original Devin parts. Though it's been a while since it last saw track action, the seller says it handles very well and is competitive. Find it here at Hemmings in Golden Valley, Minnesota for $45,000.
This 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI had a turbo kit installed by the specialists at Callaway Turbosystems in Connecticut when nearly new. It was apparently put away, as there are less than 20k miles on the clock, which are said to be documented. Usually Callaway kits mean hood scoops and body kits, but this one keeps much of the stock exterior charm with some boost under the hood. Find it here on eBay in Millwood, West Virginia.
