BaT Exclusive: Winning 1962 Morgan +4 Race Car
This 1962 Morgan Plus 4 vintage racer was purchased here as a BaT Exclusive in May of 2011 by a racer who has purchased several other cars from our site. He is an avid vintage racer and has been focusing on sedan racing of Alfas and Datsuns, so has not raced this Morgan like he has planned. It has not been raced but he has kept the car in top shape, like he does all of his impressive cars, running the engine and driving the car consistently. He has added to the already impressive spares package with additional bodywork, extra Webers and more. We have included all the great detail in the previous listing below, and added the recent details and new photos from the current seller. The car is now available in Waterloo, New York for $67,500. Worthy Project: 1967 Abarth OT 1000 Coupe
This 1967 Abarth OT 1000/Fiat 850 coupe (chassis 066479) is a mostly complete recent barn find project. It includes the original, matching numbers engine block according to the seller, as well as a partially disassembled spare. Being a 1960s Fiat, it has a fair bit of rust, but not nearly as much as we'd expect. Overall this one looks like a worthy restoration candidate. Find it here on eBay somewhere in the US (California plate on the car expired in 2011) with a $15k BIN. Click here to read more... |
BL's Beemer: 1975 Triumph Dolomite Sprint
This 1975 Triumph Dolomite Sprint is said to have only 34,000 original miles and has recently undergone an extensive sounding cosmetic and mechanical restoration. Small, boxy, light, and RWD, these are great little sports sedans, and a viable if less polished alternative to a 2002tii or tuned 510. Never sold in North America, this is one of three that we have found on offer here. BaT friend Jamie Kitman wrote a nice comparison here in Automobile Magazine that matched his blue example against the tii he eventually sold here as a BaT Exclusive. Find this red Dolly here on Kijiji in Toronto, Canada for $18k. Special thanks to reader Carl K. for this submission! Click here to read more... | Also new on Bring a Trailer:
