BaT Exclusive: Restored 1954 MG TF Roadster
This 1954 MG TF was purchased by the seller in 1995 from a widow in California. It was not running at the time and needed a total restoration. That year the seller started a total, body-off restoration. The frame was sandblasted and powdercoated, all body panels were removed and painted, all wood in the body was replaced, and all chrome was either re-chromed or replaced. The seller tells us that restoring this car was one of his greatest personal joys. We love drivers, but have serious respect for enthusiasts who can restore a car to this level in their own garage. It is now available in Anacortes, Washington for $38k. Click here to read more... |
This 1973 BMW 3.0CS (chassis 2212984) is a Euro example that was purchased by the seller after sitting as an unfinished restoration project. The car has a 4-speed and a sunroof and came from the factory in silver with a blue cloth interior. The interior is in amazing condition including the finish on the wood trim and the dash. The seller has corresponded with the owner who purchased the car in 1982, who says it had rockers and other metal work performed in the early 1990s. The car was never finished and was parked a few years later until recently. The current seller has rebuilt the fuel and brake systems and has the car running reliably. It is now available in River Forest, Illinois for $14,500. Click here to read more... |
This 1971 Volvo 142S (chassis 1423343185714) looks really sharp in navy over a lighter blue and is said to retain its original interior. Apart from a few small cosmetic issues, it seems to be in excellent overall condition and is said to run, drive, shift, brake, and steer very well. We love 140 series cars, especially these hard-to-find coupes, and this one seems like it'd make a great long-distance weekender. Find it here on eBay in Portland, Oregon with reserve not met.
