This 1951 Jowett Jupiter Mk I (chassis No. 89) is said to be one of only two sport convertible bodied examples by coachbuilder Abbott of Farnham. Most of these mechanically interesting cars received frumpy, odd-looking bodies from the West Yorkshire factory, and this one makes us question why Jowett didn't choose a prettier shape like this one for their standard model. It's in need of a total restoration, but is said to be sound and complete. It runs and drives on a non-factory motor, but the matching numbers unit is included with the sale. Find it here on interesting-cars.com in Cornwall, England for 18,750 GBP (~$30,780 today).

This 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V convertible is described as a triple-black example that has been refinished inside and out, including extensive new chrome and a rebuilt transmission. Built on a 131-inch wheelbase and measuring 227.2 inches long and  80.3 inches wide, these were huge cars and the fact that they used unit-body construction made them an engineering achievement at the time. These massive Lincolns were the last with the baroque styling introduced in 1958 and would soon be overshadowed by Elwood Engel's  groundbreaking 1961 models. Find this one here on eBay in Chicago, Illinois for $44k or offer.

This original Porsche 4 cam motor (type 547/1, number R90781) is one of only 1,700 or so ever made. Part of the 547 series of engines that powered everything from the low-production 356 Carrera GT to the 550 and 718, this particular engine was rebuilt by an unnamed individual credited with being one of the world-s best Porsche 4 cam specialists. It was -pickled- in bean oil shortly after rebuild and has been in storage for -at least a dozen years-. Find it here on eBay somewhere in California with no reserve. Special thanks to reader Joe in NH for the submission!
