Pencil Pillars: 1966 Lancia Fulvia S1 Coupe This 1966 Lancia Fulvia Series 1 coupe (chassis 818130*012151) is said to have accumulated only two owners and 73,000 miles during its 48 years. It's completed less than 700 miles since a full restoration, and is claimed to have been started from a great donor car. The little coupe looks more like a lovingly preserved original than an extensive resto, and such sympathetic jobs are an ideal but easily missed target. Click here to read more...   BaT Exclusive: Number Puzzle Lotus Seven Project This Lotus Seven is an interesting but confusing example, in that the numbers are difficult to put together for verification. The car has been titled and plated 487VNY in New Jersey since 1986 as a 1965 Lotus with chassis number SB2991. It was previously plated in the UK with the last digit G, signifying 1969. The body tag (shown below) the proper style for a genuine S2 or S3 Lotus but is heavily worn and shows that SB2991 is more likely the engine number than the unit number, which looks more like a SB2471. SB2471 fits into the range of an S3 Seven according to the UK Lotus Seven Register Page. We also had the seller inspect the chassis and he found "AM110" stamped in the frame in the proper location for a late S2 and S3 car. Overall the car is a project (whose authenticity is not totally documented) that has not run in years and features a Kent cross-flow 4-cylinder and many layers of paint.
