Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

This 1929 Marmon looks to be a recreation of a period racing machine, though little information is given about either the build or the car that inspired it. It is certainly an interesting reminder of how far racing technology has come over nine decades, and definitely looks the part. The seller notes that safety harnesses have been fitted, to help minimize concerns about using it on public roadways. In all, a fascinating and well done performance car from a different era. Find it here on eBay in Tallahassee, Florida. Special thanks to BaT reader Geoff A. for this submission!

We like the offerings that come from Auctions America... they always seem to be a good mix of the attainable and the unattainable. All the spotlight is on Amelia Island this weekend, but almost as many cars are going through this single sale the following weekend at the other end of Florida. Check out the whole catalog here, and take a look at our four favorites below.

These two Corvairs were modified when new by John Fitch & Co. Inc. of Falls Village, Connecticut. Marketed under various stages of tune, Fitch-prepped cars were called Sprints, and though changes were largely cosmetic, these two cars (a '62 Monza and '68 Corsa) feature four carb motors modified with individual air cleaners, an upgraded crankcase breather, and three degrees of ignition advance all said to be good for 155 HP?an increase of 15 over the factory figure. Find them both here at Elite Classic Cars in Glenarm, Illinois for $24,975 a piece and linked directly below. Special thanks to BaT reader Eric V. for this submission!
