This 1963 Devin C (chassis DC9-934) was retained, but never completed, by Bill devin until it was sold to its first owner in 1993. The current seller purchased it in incomplete condition in 2012, and has completed it to the quality specification shown here. An actual Devin built car both in frame and body, the seller emphasizes that it?s most definitely not a backyard special put together around a VW pan. The first non-Devin owner bought the car but never quite got around to putting the finishing touches on it, and the car sat in dry storage in Arizona for many years?fortunately it was well kept, making its recent full dismantle and restoration relatively straightforward. The car is said to be in fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition with only 310 lifetime miles. It is now available in Templeton, California for $45k. Click here to read more... |
This 1956 Avia III (chassis VH500328PT003) is a BMW motorcycle powered race special built in an aircraft factory near Prague by employee, doctor, pilot and Norton racer Miroslav Jurca. The car as well as its builder have fascinating histories only briefly condensed here, and we highly recommend reading the full listing for further details on each. Part of that past includes its seizure by the communist government in 1960, being lost, presumed destroyed, and then rediscovered by Jurca?s American grandson as a restored but misidentified Pebble Beach Concours entrant. Find it here at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville, California for $325k. Click here to read more... |
This 1974 914 (VIN 4742905914) has been with the seller for the past eight years, during which time they?ve restored the car to its original Bahia Red, replaced most rubber body seals, rebuilt and upgraded the 2.0 FI motor and much more documented neatly and thoroughly on a website dedicated to the process located here. The car appears to be in excellent, largely stock looking condition throughout, and only about 500 miles have been added since completion. Find it here on 914world.com in Plant City, Florida for $16k OBO. Special thanks to Pete S. for the submission! Click here to read more... | Also new on Bring a Trailer:
