This 1985 Corolla GT-S (VIN jt2ae88c8f0117491) has been with the seller for 23 years, during which time he?s raced it extensively with routine podiums at various big Midwest SCCA events. Re-shelled 21 years ago after an on-track incident hurt the old chassis, all parts were transferred to a clean, straight donor that retains the previous shell?s VIN and logbooks as sanctioned by the SCCA. Though arguably much of its history was lost with the original unibody, the car started life as a Toyota Long Beach Celebrity Challenge racer that was also used as an official TRD show/catalog model with SCCA drives by Doug Reid and Bob Anderson. It is now available in Verona, Kentucky for $15k. Click here to read more... |
This 935 was rebodied in 1982, Porsche having built their last example of the monster turbo 911 racer in 1979. As the listing explains, the car?s competitiveness was waning by the early 80?s, and as a solution Bob Akin had this car rebuild with a custom chassis and more aerodynamic bodywork in order to gain back some speed against newer IMSA and World Championship entrants. The finished car had a late season start at LeMans, but DNF?d after two hours due to a malfunctioning reserve fuel tank. Find it here at RaceCar-Ads.com listed by Canepa Design in Scotts Valley, California for $785k. Click here to read more... |
These two MkI Sunbeam Alpine projects are being offered only as a pair, the seller refusing what sound to be previous requests to split them up or part them out. The first car is a 1953 model that?s said to be accident free and 95% complete. Heavy rust is described as being confined to the trunk, rear rockers, and underneath the seats, with the frame and all other parts displaying surface corrosion at worst. The second, 1955 example sounds a lot worse off but is said to have a solid ?main structure?. Find them here on eBay in Mesa, Arizona with a BIN of $10k.
