This 1992 Rocket (chassis 12 of 38) was manufactured by Gordon Murray's Light Car Company as a street legal formula car. Powered by a 1 liter Yamaha engine, and carrying under half a ton even with a driver, rarely is a car name as appropriate as with the Rocket. With fewer than six thousand miles, this still looks new. This is a great option for those who think a Caterham is too soft. Find it here on Hemmings in Safety Harbor, Florida, for $99,500 or offer.

This 1971 Dingo was built around a shortened 1964 VW Beetle chassis and drivetrain and is suspected to be the only one still on the road. The looks are wild, even among a crowded field of Volkswagen-based kits not known for their restrained styling, and though described as imperfect it is claimed to be a nice driver. Find it here on The Samba's classifieds in Marknesse, Netherlands for 7,750 euros (~$10,011 today).
