9/14/2014 Update: This BMW has seen its price dropping over the past few weeks, now down to half of what was being asked in Hemmings in July. It found no buyers here on eBay two weeks ago at $58k (link), and is now seeking $48k here on eBay ending today.
From 7/5/2014:
This 1967 2000CS (chassis 1100859) has been prepped for vintage racing by renowned Washington shop Racecraft, a job documented in detail here on their Flickr account and claimed by the seller to have cost in excess of $200,000. Often overlooked for their younger E9 stablemates, these early pillarless BMW coupes have come into their own over the past few years, with prices rising steadily to reflect the increased interest. This one looks beautifully built and features an impressive spec list including a fresh, 200 HP motor and much more. Find it here on Hemmings in Potomac, Maryland for $95k OBO.
