This 1957 Chevy (Chassis B57J152801) is said to have been built as a tribute to the Smokey Yunick car raced by Paul Goldsmith. The seller adds that it was campaigned for a few years on the vintage stock car circuit, and was more recently retrofitted to make it street legal. Overall, the build appears to be impressive, and we like the fact that they didn't try too hard to make it an exact replica. Besides stock car racing, it could also make for a great Carrera Panamericana racer or a fun ride on a summer's night, just as long as your date is ok with sliding in through the windows. Find it here on eBay in Laguna Niguel, California without reserve and bidding at $7800.

Current BaT Auction - Ends Wednesday, September 10, 2014
This just in from the new owner of the Mercedes Benz Unimog that we featured here last month (link).
"BaT, Thanks for having a great website!! Thanks to your site I saw this 1971 Unimog. There are about a dozen random cars that I have pledged to own at some point (when the right one comes along at the right price) this is one of them. After having the winning bid on a Friday morning I paid my deposit and then caught a flight Sunday morning from Chicago to Minneapolis. The seller was a wonderful guy and he had described the car well. After talking to the seller for an hour I gave him the rest of the cash and headed back to the airport. Shippers just arrived in Chicago, and I now have the Mog safely in my garage. Now I can say I did more then just window shop! Can't wait to have some fun this weekend.
Regards, Rob"

This 1990 Volkswagen Rallye Golf is said to be a 45k-mile example in near flawless condition. 5071 of these hand-built homologation specials were built to meet FIA requirements for Group A rallying, and most were raced, crashed, or thrashed. Compared to the regular MkII GTI, the Rallye features Syncro AWD, dramatic box flares, and a supercharged G60 motor. Though the rally career of the Rallye Golf was brief, it and the similar Golf Limited were the ultimate expressions of the MkII Golf, and this one could likely be imported to the USA come January. Find it here on 4 Star Classics near London, United Kingdom for £16,495 (today ~($26,900 today).
