This 1984 R107 chassis SL started life as a 280SL before being professionally converted to 3.6L AMG power. Said to be a flawless one-off, power comes from a hand-built, AMG-tuned version of MB's M104 good for almost 290 HP. Originally fitted to the W202 chassis C36, this car sees it working with a 5-speed manual unavailable in the small sedan. Other upgrades include 4 pot brake calipers, 16" BBS snowflakes and leather-lined Recaros. We think it looks great, and bet the torquey, smooth six and stickshift positively transform the driving experience. Find it here at Cultcars.de in Witten, Germany for 69,980 euros (~$89,709 today).
