This 1968 Howmet TX (chassis #GTP2, Turbine eXperimental) is one of two built as a collaboration between driver Ray Happenstall, chassis builder Bob McKee and the Howmet Corporation, an Ohio-based aerospace industry supplier which built housings for turbines. The only jet-powered cars to ever win a race, period competition use included runs at Watkins Glen, Daytona, Le Mans and more. This particular car was comprehensively restored in 2005 and is offered in ready to race condition, the previous owner having campaigned it extensively including runs at the Spa and Le Mans Classics. Find it here at Ascott Collection in Vaucresson, France with POA.
