This Jowett Jupiter Mark 2 was built in 2008 on a genuine 1953 Jupiter chassis, and is aimed at being the Mark 2 update that Jowett never had time to make before they closed. It is said to be pattered after factory drawings, though those are not shown in the listing, and the body is crafted out of aluminum. We like the nose and interior very much, and think that the car is a styling win over the actual Jupiters, though many would say that is not much of a claim. Find it here on eBay in Teesside, England for 20,000 GBP (today ~$32k). Special thanks to BaT reader Max van H. for this submission! Click here to read more... |
Current BaT Auction - Ends Wednesday, October 22, 2014
"Dear BaT, Thanks to your feature from May of this year (link), I fell out of my chair to read about this extremely rare Lotus Carlton for sale in the USA. I inquired but ultimately missed my opportunity to buy the car. Depressed but not defeated, I continued to look at your site religiously every day, and jumped at the chance when this same exact car was featured again on BaT in September. If it wasn't for BaT updating the feature on this car again, I would have missed it a second time.
After a 2500 mile journey from New Jersey to Los Angeles, the Lotus Carlton now shares garage space inside an eclectic collection which includes a few other Lotus cars and a Ford Escort RS Cosworth. Thank you BaT for matching me up with a near impossible to find dream car.
Best regards, Jin T. Los Angeles, CA"

This 1988 Toyota 4Runner is in clean stock condition externally, but features an impressive California legal Lexus 1UZFE V8 swap. We love these trucks but the stock powertrains are pretty slow 25 years later, even the V6 models. This one has a BAR sticker and is clean throughout. If it was white with a gray interior we would be on the guy's doorstep. Find it here on Craigslist in San Jose, California for $12,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Nick P. for this submission!
