Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

Pillarless Driver: 1966 Mercedes Benz 220SEb

This 1966 220SEb is said to have been restored by the current owner during the early days of his 13 years with the car. Work included both cosmetic and mechanical restoration, and the listing details what sounds to be a recent, 1,000 mile plus round-trip, much of which is said to have been through mountains at a steady 75 MPH. Overall the car presents as a nice driver, even if spec and color aren't 100% ideal. Find it here at MercedesHeritage.com in Cleveland, Ohio for $16,900.

Jaguar Mk1 Project

This just in from the new owner of the 1959 Jaguar Mk1 project won in a BaT Auction (link):

"Hello BaTers,
I am the proud new owner of George, and will fill you in on the journey so far.  After a bit of travelling time, the car arrived in Charleston, SC about two weeks ago, loaded with boxes of parts.

While it was in the trailer, I was very pleased to see the floor pans, chassis and suspension components looked very solid. The rust in the rockers was as expected and the rust on door frames was not as bad as anticipated. After several days of digging through parts boxes, and separating out parts for other cars (anyone have a Series 1 XJ6?), I began to start rooting through the engine bay. After some concern regarding the battery and whether it was positive earth or not, I managed to get it wired up and started some basic checks. A quick tear-down and cleaning of the SUs was all that was required to get carburetors operating again, and after improvising fuel delivery, the engine started right up and settled into a slightly rough idle. With my spirits up, I am looking forward to the project and will happily keep you updated as things progress. Anyone with input on parts sourcing, pro-tips or needing some gratis XJ6 parts, please feel free to drop me a line!

Thanks all!
-Dave

Best Out There: 1990 BMW M3 Sport Evolution

This 1990 BMW M3 Sport Evolution was originally sold new in Italy and then brought to the UK by the consigning dealer ten years later. The car has since passed through their shop three times, and is said to remain 100% original and in show-ready cosmetic condition with equally sorted mechanicals. These final homologation update models are arguably the most desirable E30 M3's built, and this one is probably the nicest we've ever seen offered for sale. Find it here at Classic Heroes in London, England for 92k GBP (~$147,306 today).
