Click here to read more...   Current BaT Auction - Ends Wednesday, December 3, 2014 BaT Auction Success Story: Euro 1978 BMW 635 "BaT, It has been almost 6 weeks since my Henna Red 635 sold on a BaT auction in October (link). I thought I would pass along a little information since the auction ended. 1. First, I would have to say that I was very pleased with the final bid price on my car 2. The full payment by the new owner in St Louis, MO, was made in a very timely fashion per BaT payment guidelines 3. My correspondence with the new owner ended up with him buying all the spare parts (over 100 different items) which I had accumulated over more than 25 years. This was an added bonus in addition to the purchase price of my car. I would have to conclude that the new owner had to be the perfect choice and I could not be more pleased. It has certainly eased the pain of see such an old friend (29+ years of ownership) depart. 4. The scheduled transporter pickup was delayed until November 13, 2014 probably due to the large number of auctions (Mecum, etc) that were held in the Chicago area. Neither the buyer nor I were too concerned with the delay.
