Powered by a bored-out Stude 289 with upgraded internals, it nails the correct style right on the head and almost certainly cost much more to build than the current highest bid. This 1954 Lotus MkVI (chassis 058) is listed as a comprehensively restored, extensively documented example of Colin Chapman's first production car. Sold new in Ireland and raced across the country on track and in hillclimbs, the car ran a variety of mechanical setups including supercharged Ford and Coventry Climax power—restoration included a switch back to its original, twin carb Ford Consul-sourced 1508cc four spec.
