High Power Low Trim: 1970 Ford Escort MkI Lotus Twin Cam This 1970 Ford Escort Twin Cam is a rare factory-built, Lotus-powered car assembled in Ford's Sydney, Australia plant. Reportedly the car remained in Australia for nearly 40 years until it was recently shipped to the UK, and the seller says that the Aussie climate helped preserve it in what looks to be extremely good condition. Originality isn't mentioned, but the MkI's simple shape works beautifully with this attractive shade of green, and we love how such a base looking car packs a rather exotic punch beneath the hood.
