This 1992 Corvette (VIN 1G1YY23P3N5114173) wears adapted 1967 Volvo 1800S bodywork, making for what's probably one of the weirdest mashups we've ever seen. The ad says that a real Volvo was used in construction, so we gather that bodywork is likely a mix of metal and fiberglass. Weird. Find it here on eBay in Portage, Indiana with a $45k BIN. This 1960 Porsche 356B Roadster (chassis 88765) is described as a matching-numbers, three owner car and has been with the seller since 1977. The sale includes three engines and two transaxles, however the original drivetrain isn't currently fitted. The car is largely complete, and the seller completed extensive metalwork in the late '70s. "Hi Bring a Trailer Team:
In April, I won the auction for the 1972 Jerry Hathaway Citroen SM. This win was particularly significant for me as I had to sell my prior Jerry Hathaway Citroen SM on the BaT site in March 2012 following a divorce. I have stayed in touch with the new owner so it has been rewarding to know that it is being appreciated and used by a real enthusiast. It was, however, I think, my favorite car ever so I have missed its personality and amazing driving qualities. In any case, my appreciation goes to BaT for bringing the new car into my life.
After a few additional tweaks performed by Jerry to resemble my last example, it is now on the way from California to Washington,DC. Jerry was terrific during the whole process. I have attached two of the photos that Jerry shared with me as it was being packed up (fender skirts are removed just for delivery).
In June, the SM will be traveling to Saratoga Springs, NY for the annual 39th Citroen Rendezvous on Father's Day weekend. I am very excited to meet up with my long time Citroen friends and experiencing new SM adventures. The Rendezvous is a magnificent event for French car fans and families. Saratoga is a terrific town with good restaurants and a car museum plus the people are fascinating and many will become life long friends.
