Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

This 1974 Volvo 142 2-door was built by the seller taking many of his favorite components from different years of the model. The result is great, and it is capped off by a custom turbocharged and intercooled B20 engine mated to a T5 5-speed transmission. The body was re-painted in the factory color and all of the modifications are well thought out. The seller has perfect feedback and sounds like he knows the car very well. Find it here on eBay in Ohio. Special thanks to BaT reader Chip E. for this submission.

This just in from the seller of the Mangusta that sold here via BaT Auction in February:

"Hi BaT,

On a foggy Northern California morning I met a fellow who was no stranger to adventure. As stated in the advert we met at terminal 2 in the Oakland airport at 8am sharp. Jerry (the new owner) is not only the organizer of the Al-Can car rally but is also a neighbor & chum to the Qvale family! Over waffles and eggs we easily discussed our passion for cars and driving them. In the truest form of car guy banter we lamented over the cars we had lost way more than the cars we had won. We talked about the search for good cars in the remotest regions of this fine country and the characters that own them.

Shortly after a pleasant breakfast we wound our way thru the toughest part of town still garnering the hoots, hollers and compliments that come with owning a unique vehicle. I had chosen to have Jerry drop me off at an on-ramp that would give him a good, easy start for his trip back to Vegas. We exchanged a few last pleasantries before I plodded away on foot & Jerry accelerated onto Highway 13. I heard the sweet sounds of the Mangusta shifting lightly thru the gears as Jerry made his way home. With a little bit of resentment I called my partner Chatman and asked for a ride back to our humble garage. He obliged.

A few days later Jerry emailed to say he had had an easy trip back and stopped for a long lunch with an old chum. The Qvale was home and happy with its new caretaker and I was pleased that all was as it should be. The BaT auction process was much more pleasant than the other avenues I have taken in the past. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again. This pic is of an obviously pleased carguy taking the helm for his first drive.

This 1967 Glas 3000 V8 is claimed as being a pre-BMW model and is further said to be one of 418 3000's built. Roughly 62k miles are noted and the seller mentions older mechanical sorting along with a respray in the car's original blue color. This is an odd but cool V8 model that looks more Maserati than BMW, and it looks great in dark colors like this. Find it here on eBay.de in Nümbrecht, Germany with no further reserve past a starting bid of €49k (~$55k today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
