7/4/2015 Update: Nearly three years after our last feature on the car, this 1953 Allard K3 (chassis DR024023CAL) has popped up again fully restored with a new color. Overall condition looks pretty good, and though not likely a factory option this silver over red wires combination works quite well on the car's attractive aluminum body. At first we thought it was a different car, but the registry number (6017, previously mistaken for the chassis number) and custom dash tipped us off. This 1961 Austin Mini is offered as a stalled restoration in need of finishing. Though not yet driven, the seller says it runs and will be operable once fitted with seats. Though the original motor, trans and interior are long gone, the car presents as a nice opportunity to spec final cosmetics details to taste and the larger Austin America engine should provide a nice power bump. This 1970 BMW 2800CS runs a built, turbocharged M30B35 said to be good for 450 RWHP at 13 pounds of boost. Offered with only these two photos and a minimal, spec-focused description, we're nonetheless intrigued and would love to see more. Find it here on eBay in Temecula, California for $48k OBO.
