New Auction Listings
Frozen Flathead: 1949 Ford F3 Pick-up Project
This 1949 Ford F3 is a nicely worn-in example with lots of character. Unfortunately, its flathead V8 is currently locked up, though the seller states that the 4-speed manual transmission still shifts through each of its gears. Find it here on Craigslist in Lafayette, Indiana for $4k OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader M.R. for this submission.
Delphi Green: 2.0 Swapped 1973 Porsche 914
This 1973 914 features a recently installed 2.0 liter, fuel injected motor with less than 100 miles. Offered with $38k in receipts accumulated over the car’s lifetime, we love its Delphi Green color and condition looks to be very nice. Find it here on Pelican Parts in Kansas City, Missouri for $15,500 with the pictured Fuch wheels. Special thanks to BaT reader Rustam M. for this submission.
Show Winner: 1991 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE
This 1991 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE is on offer by the third owner who is said to have spent more than $13k in setting the car right. Interestingly, many of the listing’s photos seem to have been taken in a showroom despite claimed private party ownership. Overall condition looks very impressive, with only some cracked wood and aging leather inside the notoriously flimsy cabin showing evidence of wear, and even then it’s relatively tame to what’s seen on most Esprits. Find it here on Hemmings in Perry, Iowa for $23,900 OBO.
No Reserve: Twin-H Power 1954 Hudson Hornet
This 1954 Hudson Hornet (chassis 7D7319649) is a promising example of an increasingly rare piece of American motorsports history. This car’s coupe-bodied counterparts were dominant in early NASCAR events, and this example features the same desirable Twin-H powerplant found in those cars. These big, straight six powered cars offered excellent performance for their day, and with 170 horsepower on tap they’re still plenty usable on modern roads. Find it here on eBay in Hermosa, South Dakota with no reserve.
