Restored in Russia: 1963 GAZ M13 Chaika
This 1963 GAZ M13 Chaika (Ча́йка–“gull”) is one of a few thousand handbuilt for Soviet government officials between 1959 and 1981. Said to have been restored in Russia nearly 20 years and 1,000 miles ago, it’s resided in California since. Little additional information is provided, but the big, V8-powered beast does appear to be in excellent condition throughout. Find it here on eBay in La Jolla, California for $220k OBO.
Turbo BMW V8 & Skyline GT-R Drivetrain: 750 HP Volvo Amazon
This Volvo Amazon retains very little of the donor car except for the roof and a few other body pieces. Running a full custom tube frame, power comes from a turbocharged, 750 HP BMW V8 running through an R32 chassis Nissan Skyline GT-R AWD driveline–notably, power can be routed 50/50 front rear or 100% to the back at the touch of a button. VWKOBRA: Fiberglass Bodied 1969 Volkswagen Beetle
This unusual AC Cobra style fiberglass kit body is installed over Beetle running gear and is titled as as 1969 Beetle (chassis 119591187). Paint is peeling in a few places but looks as it it could remain original to the build. Check out the “VWKOBRA” license plates–this one requires a sense of humor but is actually pretty cool. Find it here on eBay in Santee, California for $3,700 OBO.
One Owner: Original & Low Mile 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC
This 1973 Mercedes Benz 450 SLC is an early, small bumper C107 chassis car that’s said to have remained with one family from new. Further claimed to remain all original with 64,220 miles from new, the car looks wonderfully preserved and is said to run and drive just as well. Find it here on eBay in Grants Pass, Oregon with no reserve beyond an unmet $9,500 starting bid.
