Steve Mcqueen’s 1952 Chevrolet 3800 Camper

Steve Mcqueen's 1952 Chevrolet Pick Up Truck

This 1952 Chevrolet 3800 one ton pick-up belonged to Steve McQueen and was purchased directly from his estate at a sale held in 1984. Maintained since, it’s described as both unrestored and mechanically excellent, the seller claiming that it’s very nice to drive with an attractive patina. Find it here on eBay in Beverly Hills, California with fast bidding approaching $100k but reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Moviethings for this submission.

Best Out There: $4250 1986 Skoda 120GLS

1986 Skoda 120GLS Front

This 1986 Skoda 120GLS was built in communist Czechoslovakia and exported to Canada when new or still nearly so. Though mileage is unknown due to what the Skoda experienced seller calls “100% odometer failure rate”, the car is said to run and drive excellently with complete reliability, the ad further noting excellent, nearly all-original cosmetics and no filler or rust.  Find it here on Craigslist in Surrey, BC, Canada for $4,250 OBO–potentially quite a buy, particularly if that’s in CAD. Special thanks to BaT reader Bruce L. for this submission.

Rust Trap: 1960 Porsche 356B 1600 Super Project

Porsche 356 1600 Super | eBay

This Porsche 356 1600 Super (chassis 109017) is thought to have been built in 1959 but not registered until two years later. Though not explicitly said to be matching numbers, the seller believes that the motor may be original to the car. Last ran in 1999, it’s said to turn freely but rust is prevalent nearly everywhere and will require extensive repair work. Find it here on eBay in Chemainus, BC, Canada with no reserve. Special thanks to BaT reader Rob D. for this submission.

Rare Non-Basketcase: 1979 Lotus Eclat Automatic

Lotus Eclat

This 1979 Lotus Eclat looks to be in quite decent condition, which is more than can be said for what seems to be most of those that still exist. This Colin Chapman era model had approximately 1,500 units produced over its eight year run, so coming across one in great shape like this is becoming quite a task as most were left to succumb to rust and neglect. Fnd it here on eBay in Homestead, Florida for $10k OBO.
