New Auction Listings
No Bondo: 1962 Pontiac Tempest
This 1962 Pontiac Tempest (chassis 162S6609) has been stripped to bare metal but actually looks pretty cool as-is. Fitted with the rare Pontiac V8-based 195ci four cylinder and not a scrap of exterior paint, it’s also said to be rot-free–not that there would be much place to hide it anyway. These “rope-drive” cars were very advanced for the time and are somewhat scarce today. Find this one here on eBay in Reno, Nevada with a $5,000 BIN.
En Tijuana: 1971 Toyota Crown Deluxe Coupe
This 1971 Toyota Crown Deluxe Coupe is one of the rarest Toyotas ever sold in North America, though the listing is spotty in its written documentation and limited in its photographic details. We rarely see these in any condition, especially with such a reasonable price tag, but we’d definitely like to know more about this one before pulling the trigger. Find it here on Craigslist in Tijuana, BC, Mexico for $3,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Robert R. for this submission.
1977 Volvo C303
This 1977 Volvo C303 has been partially restored but still needs some additional work. Like the Unimog, Pinzgauer and Haflinger, this tall Volvo features ground-clearance enhancing portal axles. Offered with a long list of recent work and spares, this arctic-camouflaged example is said to be very usable as-is, or would make a good candidate for further customization. Find it here on Craigslist in Gig Harbor, Washington for $30k.
Primrose 1969 MGB GT
This 1969 MGB GT (chassis GHD4U181992 G) has a nice, stock appearance and has been used minimally over the past several years. We typically prefer these hardtop variants to their popular convertible brothers, and this example’s generally good condition and rare color make it particularly compelling. Find it here on eBay in Novi, Michigan with no reserve.
