Fried Goat: Fire Damaged 1964 Pontiac GTO
This 1964 Pontiac GTO (chassis 824F21070) appears to have been restored at some point before fire damage occurred, due to which the car's title status is considered "non-repairable." Purchased as-is by the seller, the car's mechanical condition is unknown (most definitely non-running), but the 389 and 4-speed are present. Glass is gone along with most of the interior but seat frames are included. Find it here on eBay in Rio Linda, California for $6,200.
BaT Auction Success Story: 560SEC Seller Thanks Commenters
This just in from the seller of the 1991 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC that he sold via BaT Auction as lot #607 a couple weeks ago (link).
“I just wanted to send you a few photos of the car get loaded on the trailer and send a thank you note for a great selling experience. I had sold a few cars as BaT Exclusives years ago, but this was my first BaT Auction. It was much fun beginning to end. Having the enthusiast peanut gallery pick over and approve of the car and fielding educated buyers questions is so much more enjoyable than traditional selling methods. The auction process also made me feel like I didn’t sell the car short like I had with past cars, as I feel whatever a car brings at auction here is fair money. I knew with BaT’s great exposure several bidders would show up, and with the very reasonable selling fees, there really is no better way to sell a collector car. Thanks a million, or in this case $15,300 BaT, and I hope Todd the buyer enjoys the car as much as I did.

GM 6.0L Powered: 2001 BMW 560i Sport
This 2001 BMW E39 Sport has been given an engine swap with LSx GM power and a T56 6-speed. We haven’t seen this powertrain in this model before, but love that the exterior is very near stock. The only real signal to what lies inside is the shifter ball and the custom 560i badge. The seller says this one fares well against an M5 of the same year. Find it here on the NY Speed Forum in Buffalo, New York for $18,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Walker for this submission.
