Subaru STI Power: Tube Frame 1957 Fiat 500
This 1957 Fiat 500 is a far cry from the willing-but-low-powered Italian city car it started life as. Now sporting wheelie bars to keep its Subaru STI-sourced might from lifting the front wheels off the ground, this steroidal commuter features some seriously impressive chassis and packaging work. Find it here on eBay in Englewood, Colorado with reserve not met and a $25k Buy-It-Now.
First Anniversary Special: 1967 MGB GT Special
This 1967 MGB GT Special (S/N 1424353-208173) was one of 1,000 sold by U.S. retailers to commemorate the first anniversary of the model, offering a package of several no-cost options including wire wheels, leather upholstery, and front fender badging. This example was purchased from the original owner’s nephew, and according to the seller, spent most of the last 38 years in the Bay Area. Find it here on eBay in El Cajon, California.
1952 Jaguar MK VII Project
This 1952 Jaguar MK VII comes from Jaguar’s full size line of luxury sedans, but has certainly seen better days. In the early 1950s Jaguar was beginning their domination of the world, with the fastest production car in the world, fastest sedan and some of the finest luxury vehicles on the market. Find it here on Craigslist in Mount Holly, New Jersey for $6,000 or $5,500 without the pictured steering wheel. Special thanks to BaT reader Robert G. for this submission.
BaT Auction Success Story: Datsun 280ZX Heads to Mexico City
This just in from the seller and original owner of the 1980 Datsun 280ZX that was sold via BaT Auctions earlier this month (link).
“Thanks for a great job in helping with the sale of my 10th Anniversary Datsun 280 ZX.
My neighbor who is a car collector is the person who informed me about your website. Your staff was a great help in working with me to prepare the car for the auction. Watching the comments and bidding was entertaining and informative. I think that I received a fair price for the vehicle. The buyer and I made contact quickly and the paperwork and funds transferred very smoothly, especially considering that the buyer lives in Mexico City.
A few photos of the departing vehicle are attached. I will miss my baby, but I know it is going to someone who will appreciate a well kept 35 year old limited edition car.
Thanks again,
Marc F.”
