Saudi Desert Spec: 1991 Mercedes Benz 300SE
This 1991 Mercedes Benz 300SE is described as a Japanese import that’s been customized for off-road desert driving. This is easily one of the coolest W126 chassis cars we’ve ever seen, including sinister monochrome AMG modified examples. The selling format for this one is a bit unusual, but both of the seller’s feeds (@saudiretrocars and @saudiretrocars_4sale) are among the most worthwhile on all of Instagram. Find it here on Instagram in Sharjah, UAE for 45k AED (~$12,250 USD today).
Never Seen One: 1982 Austin Allegro 3
This 1982 Austin Allegro is a final-year example of the model, which had been produced since 1973. With the exception of Jaguar and Land Rover, British Leyland cars of this era are highly unusual on this side of the Atlantic. This model in particular is not exceptionally well-regarded, even in its home country, and so it makes for one of the more unusual choices for import we have come across. 2400 Miles from New: 1966 Griffith Series 400
This 1966 Griffith Series 400 (chassis 4005036) is due for a cleanup, but is claimed to run and drive with just 2,400 miles on the odometer. Some of that distance happened on the drag track where it was an AHRA record holder for its first three years. Street mileage did not begin until 2005 when it was finally registered as a road-legal car. Find it here on eBay in Portland, Oregon with reserve not met.
Hardtop Project: 1968 Lotus Elan
This 1968 Lotus Elan is said to move under its own power, though it will take a lot to return to its full potential. Thankfully, the aftermarket for these cars is very strong, with whole replacement chassis, upgraded suspension components and many other parts readily available. Find this one here on Craigslist in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for $15k.
