Rusty Runner: 1966 Toyota Land Cruiser LV Wagon
This 1966 Toyota Land Cruiser (chassis FJ4524461) is said to be one of ~5,000 LV Wagons made across five years of production. Purchased only last year by the seller as a non-running project, it's now roadworthy (both off and on) after much mechanical sorting by the seller and friends. Find it here on eBay in Fort Mill, South Carolina with reserve not met.
Seven Years Later: 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Wagon
11/6/2015 Update: Over seven years later, this 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV is once again on offer. We found it in 2007 when it was listed very cheaply on Craigslist in California. The current seller says that he has had it for 6 years and that he still has the full roof rack from the previous listing. Find it here on Craigslist in New Hampshire for $33,500. We have added many photos from the current listing below, and a link in the comments shows the previous condition when sold in 2008. Special thanks to BaT reader Nate B. for this submission!
Market Flooded: 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV
This 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV is said to be one of less than 1,000 exported to the US and 100 estimated to remain worldwide. Rebuilt seven years and 6,000 miles ago, the truck looks great inside and out and incorporates a handful of excellent upgrades while retaining a near-factory look. Find it here on eBay in Denver, Colorado with reserve not met.
BaT Auction Success Story: BMW 528i Drives 20-Hours Straight Home
This just in from the buyer of the 1979 BMW 528i that was recently purchased via BaT Auction just a couple weeks ago (link).
“Hello,
I just wanted to send a quick note telling you about another successful transaction. I bought the 1979 BMW 528i recently listed on your auction site. The whole process went very smooth. I got the car at a fair price, the seller was very helpful and knowledgable about the car, and the pickup was easy.
After talking to the seller he indicated that he didn't see why the car wouldn't make a 1200 mile trip from Minnesota to Salt Lake City, Utah. After hearing that, I planned my one way excursion. I flew out on a Saturday and picked the car up. It was exactly as he described and drove better than I could have imagined. We also found out that the trunk is amazingly big and swallowed all four extra wheels and all the extra parts. Wow! With a friend, we started back towards SLC on Sunday morning and after driving 20 hours straight, we arrived back home early Monday morning. This car drove flawlessly at 85-90 the whole way and didn't give us any problems. We also got around 21 mpg. I absolutely love this car! I will fix the seats with new foam and repair some of the leather and then just enjoy.
Thanks again BaT, and thanks to Craig the seller!!
Cheers,
Jim A.”
