BaT People’s Choice: Best Feature of 2015
Now it is time to have some fun! 2015 was another great year of BaT feature cars. It is time, once again, to vote for your favorite!
The rules: Leave a comment with the link to your favorite BaT Feature car of 2015. Comments and votes without links will be deleted. Please no “I think I remember a fastback Mustang, or was it a notchback?” sort of comments. Be specific! Leave a reason or leave no reason at all. Vote for one car (or feature) and please just one vote per person.
Use the search link at the top right and the categories below to help you choose! Voting closes at 11PM PST on Monday, January 4th!

2015 Bellcord Memorial Best BaT Commenter Award
The best part about BaT is the comments and expertise of the community. Thanks for making 2015 another great year of discussion! We are happy to have seen many new personalities emerge along side the die-hard BaT regulars. We have learned plenty, and BaT Auctions have added yet another wave of comments.
Two years ago we started awarding a prize for the best commenter of the year. Here are the past winners:
- 2011: Ed L. (see the voting and Ed’s 2011 remarks here)
- 2012: Billy De Hulst (see the 2012 voting here)
- 2013: jboat49 (see the 2013 voting here)
- 2014: Delia Wolfe (see the 2014 voting here)
But who was the best overall commenter in 2015?
The rules: Leave a comment with the name of your choice, and if possible link to some of their best work from 2015. Leave a reason or leave no reason at all. Vote for only one commenter, and please just one vote per person. As the award is named in honor of Bellcord and our readers have already paid him tribute, this award is intended for another individual who has continued in his tradition, so please no votes for Bellcord.
For those newer to our site, Mr. Bellcord’s name on the award because he was one of the early inspirations in the BaT comment community, and his great one-liners live on in the archives. See our tribute to him here, which itself had some great comments from fellow BaT readers.
Use the search link up above and the archive categories to help you review and choose! Voting closes at 11PM PST on January 4th, and the winner will be announced here.
Cheap Early Coupe Project: Running but Rusty 1956 MGA
This 1956 MGA coupe (chassis HMR43 32535) is in need of complete restoration, largely due to rust. Though it will need plenty of work, the engine has recently been test run and is said to sound healthy, while the frame is claimed to be in surprisingly decent condition. Find it here on eBay in Whateley, Massachusetts with no reserve beyond an unmet $2,500 starting bid. Special thanks to BaT reader AMF for this submission.
No Reserve: Two Owner 1986 Porsche 928S 5-Speed
This 1986 Porsche 928S (VIN WP0JB0927GS862469) is offered with a rather minimal description, but what little is said sounds good–namely two owners from new, 76k and change miles, a strong running motor and cold A/C. A desirable 5-speed manual transmission equipped car, it’s further described as clean and all-original. Photos are nearly as lacking as the written description, but at no reserve we’re intrigued. Find it here on eBay in Bradenton, Florida with one $5k bid at the time of writing.
