BaT People’s Choice: Best Feature of 2015
1/4/2016 Update: Thanks for all the excellent voting and reflections on the year. Perhaps the coolest part for us was seeing 68 different cars chosen by readers. But the clear winner was the Non-Running Porsche 928 that garnered over 700 comments in its BaT Auction. We will add it to the winner’s list below.
2015 Bellcord Memorial Best BaT Commenter Award
1/4/2016 Update: And the winner this year is….. Sludgo! We appreciate all the feedback and votes below. It was year another amazing year, and we are excited to reach out to Mr. Sludgo to send him his prize, a $300 gift card to Griot’s Garage and a selection of BaT Gear. The commenters and community are always the best part of BaT, so reading this thread and reminiscing on all of your contributions over the last 12 months was very special. We are excited to do it again in 2016. Thanks very much to all who participate! -BaT
Feedback Wanted: Additional BaT Award Ideas
During this year’s voting, there were many ideas for additional awards that could be voted on beyond the Best Feature and Best Commenter. Good idea!
Let us know what other categories you would suggest in the comment section here. If you like another idea, give it a thumbs up or repeat it in your own comment. Anything that would encourage constructive participation, helping out buyers and sellers, and making the comments an enjoyable place to read and learn would be good to reward.
We look forward to seeing your ideas here.
Thanks!
-BaT
Nicest One Left: Unmodified 57K Mile 2001 Acura Integra GS-R
This 2001 Acura Integra GS-R is a claimed 57,200 mile example on offer by the second, 13 year owner. Condition looks excellent throughout, and finding a nice, unmodified one has been nearly impossible for years now. These little coupes arguably represent Honda’s peak as a manufacturer of well built, reliable and excellently engineered little cars, and are among the best handling FWD machines ever built, running bullet-proof, high-revving, gem like fours mated to extraordinarily good 5-speed gearboxes. Find this one here on Craigslist in Chevy Chase, Maryland for $9.425. Special thanks to BaT reader Daniel M. for this submission.
Extra Crispy: 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS
This 1978 Ferrari 308 GTS (chassis F106AS24073) was totaled due to a fire caused by a failed fuel line, but as the seller suggests their may still be some value in the reportedly good shell. The ad suggests resurrecting the crispy carcass for use as a racer, rally build or 288 GTO replica, all of which sound reasonable ways to spend an unreasonable amount of cash. Find it here on Craigslist in Nashville, Tennessee for $6,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Physician S. for this submission.
