Beautiful Mild Custom: 1950 Plymouth Suburban
This 1950 Plymouth Suburban two-door wagon (chassis P20572796) is a great example of how the right wheel, tire and stance can really transform a vehicle for the better. A claimed-original California example with the requisite black plates still attached, it also retains its original L-head six and three-on-the-tree, and looks great inside and out with just the right amount of patina. Find it here on eBay in San Jose, California with reserve not met.
Wrapped & Running: 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi Project w/ No Reserve
This 1982 Ferrari 308 GTSi (VIN ZFFAA02A2c0038813) runs and drives, but the seller hasn’t taken it more than 100 miles in one go for a few years, and as such recommends new tires, brakes, belts and a few other items. The vinyl wrap seen here was fitted last year for participation in a charity event, and the ad mentions a few small rust spots that were treated prior to wrapping. Further said to start easily and produce no smoke, the interior is a bit rough, but the car does appear to have potential. Find it here on eBay in Ocala, Florida with no reserve and fast bidding. Special thanks to BaT reader AMF for this submission.
Not a Lotus: Promising 1966 Ford Cortina GT Project
This 1966 Ford Cortina GT wears a Lotus twin cam tribute paint scheme, and though the car looks like a complete runner in the lead photo, it’s actually partially disassembled and hasn’t been registered in more than a decade. It looks to have a lot of promise however, and the pre-crossflow Kent 1500 wears big Webers and is said to have run well before pulled off the road. Find it here on Craigslist in Santee, California for $5k. Special thanks to BaT reader T.J. for this submission.
220 Plus HP M10: 1969 BMW 2002 Vintage Racer
This 1969 BMW 2002 is a purpose-built racer that started with what’s described as a clean and rust-free donor car back in 2005. It runs a two liter M10 four that was professionally built by a performance shop in California, and a host of other race-specific modifications including a full halon fire suppression system. The car has participated in multiple vintage events around the country, and is said to be reliable and very well-developed. Find it here on eBay in Woodinville, Washington with a $42k BIN. Special thanks to BaT reader Jim C. for this submission.
