Full Size Nostalgia: Unrestored 31K Mile 1976 Chevrolet Impala
This 1976 Chevrolet Impala is described as an unrestored, original car with 30,600 miles from new. Further claimed to be rust-free despite its Rustbelt location, the car has clearly been garaged and kept out of the salt. It looks impressively well-preserved inside and out, and the seller says it’s up-to-date on maintenance and running well. Find it here on Craigslist in suburban Chicago, Illinois for $6,400.
Cooler Than a Boxster: Clean 1995 Porsche 968 Cabrio
This 1995 Porsche 968 cabrio (VIN WP0CA2961SS840101) is a final year model with just under 50k believable-looking miles on the odometer. The seller says it runs and drives as well as it looks, and though many will prefer a coupe, these drop-tops still drive very nicely, and make for a much more interesting alternative to a common secondhand Boxster. Late Production Diesel: 1979 Citroen HY in Roswell
This 1979 Citroen HY van is a very late production, diesel-powered example that’s said to have spent most of its life working in the vineyards of Burgundy. Prior to US importation, the van is said to have undergone quite a bit of mechanical refreshing including fitment of new brakes, clutch, wiring and more, but rust remains on several body panels and should be repaired before it worsens. Find it here on eBay in Roswell, New Mexico with reserve not met.
Honest Survivor: 1966 Volvo 1800S
This 1966 Volvo 1800S (chassis 19824) remained with its original owner until recently, and has always been in Portland. The seller describes it as an good-looking survivor, with an excellent original drivetrain and honest, lived-in cosmetics. Prior to listing, the seller drove it daily for a few weeks, during which it’s said to have been a reliable, enjoyable drive. These mid-production run models are some of the best available, as they’re equipped with the handsome earlier dash layout, and typically don’t suffer from the corrosion issues that early, Jensen-bodied cars were prone to. Find it here on eBay in Portland, Oregon with no reserve and fast bidding.
