Nicely Kept Automatic: 1989 BMW 325i
This 1989 BMW E30 325i looks excellent in photos, and is said to be in fully working order with all major service up-to-date. A very nice color combination, desirable late production-style bumpers, and apparently great condition are all big pluses here, enough so that many will probably be willing to overlook the automatic gearbox. Find it here on Craigslist near Rochester, New York for $10k. Special thanks to BaT reader Aaron N. for this submission.
Last & Best Turbo Four: Potential Bargain 1995 Lotus Esprit S4S
This 1995 Lotus Esprit S4S is a last of the line four-cylinder car, the seller claiming it to be number 74 of only 331 built in total. Mileage is listed as just under 10k, and the car looks very well cared-for inside and out. The white over red color scheme is striking, and sale includes full documentation with service records and the original window sticker asking $78k–about $126,000 in today’s money. Find it here on Craigslist near Utica, New York for $24,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Aaron N. for this submission.
Facel Bodied Driver: 1959 Simca Aronde Oceane
This 1959 Simca Aronde Oceane (chassis 1775698) was bought new in 1961, relocated from Wichita to California five years later, then put into long-term storage between 1976 and recently. Described as very original and well-preserved, the seller says it’s ready to be driven as-is. The car is far from perfect, but does appear to be much better than most that remain. Find it here on eBay in Saint Louis, Missouri with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader AMF for this submission.
Big Block & Fins: 1958 DeSoto Firesweep Sportsman Project
This 1958 DeSoto Firesweep (chassis LS15956) is a rough but apparently restorable example of an interesting and rarely seen model. These colors are similar to factory, but turned around slightly–originally it would have had a black roof and stripe with the balance in yellow. It’d look great restored this way, and the 350 big block and push-button operated TorqueFlite makes for an interesting drivetrain. Though not currently running, the car rolls and stops well, the latter via wisely converted front disc brakes. Find it here on eBay in Franklin, Indiana with no reserve beyond an unmet $10k starting bid.
