Rare Homologation Turbo: 1983 Volvo 242 Flathood
‘This 1983 Volvo 242 is a rare “flathood” Group A homologation model of which the seller claims only 500 were built. That number dwindles to 21 for cars with this color combo, and the seller says it runs and drives very well. Condition looks to be quite nice, too. Find it here on Craigslist in Novato, California for $14k. Special thanks to BaT reader Sean C. for this submission.
Matching-Numbers 4-Speed: 1968 Ford Torino GT 390
This 1968 Ford Torino GT is described as a legit S-code 390/4-speed car with one factory correct respray. Its original motor has been fully rebuilt, and the seller lists a few nice upgrades like a Hurst shifter and aluminum radiator. Otherwise, the car looks very stock. Sale sounds to include a Marti Report, and the ad claims that it’s ready to be driven anywhere. Find it here on Craigslist in De Soto, Missouri for $22,500.
Excellent Patina: 1959 Triumph TR3A
This 1959 Triumph TR3A looks like a nicely worn-in driver, and the seller says its a California sourced car with no rot or rust. They go on to detail lots of new parts, as well as rebuilt engine and full electrical functionality. Says the seller: “If you want pretty, call someone else, if you want excellent mechanicals then this may be of interest.” Find it here on Craigslist in Brookhaven, Georgia for $14,800.
Super Sedan: 2004 Cadillac CTS-V Race Car w/ Trailer
This 2004 Cadillac CTS-V is said to be fast, reliable and easy to maintain, and it definitely looks cool sitting low over OZ wheels and Hoosier slicks. Further claimed to be a factory designed and engineered race car, details are otherwise frustratingly few. Sale includes a pit cart, logbooks, and even a 24 foot enclosed trailer. Numerous extras such as a pit cart are included, as well as SCCA and NASA logbooks. Find it here on eBay in Penn Yan, New York for $36,000 OBO.
