NASCAR Guts: 1950 Chevrolet 3100

a

This 1950 Chevrolet 3100 pick-up (chassis HBM184089) retains very little of its original specification apart from bodywork, much of which has been modified to one degree or another in order to accommodate a modern NASCAR chassis and drivetrain. The builder has gone for a ratty lock, though underneath, fabrication and engineering quality looks solid. Says the seller: “Super fast and fun! All lights work. I drive it everywhere.” Find it here on eBay in Mount Juliet, Tennessee with reserve not met.

Cosworth BDR Power: 1974 Lotus Super Seven S4

Lotus 7 s4 w/Cosworth BDR

This 1974 Lotus Super Seven is described as a fully documented, Hethel built car that started life as an S4 Twin Cam. Since converted to exotic Cosworth BDR power, it’s setup for D Modified SCCA competition, but has never been raced with the Cossie motor in place. Rebuilt in the 1990’s, this work is also said to have been documented. Titled and registered for road use, unfortunately the ad doesn’t included any engine shots, but this link provides some interesting info on the BDR. Find the car here on Craigslist in Denver, Colorado for $23,900 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Sam M. for this submission.

BAR Certified Baur: 1982 BMW 320

BMW 3 Series Baur | eBay

This 1982 BMW 320 (WBAAH1103C6972482) is an interesting small-bore six-cylinder Euro market car that’s said to have been Federalized when still nearly new. Its semi-open top is the work of Baur, a German coachbuilder who specialize in this type of conversions on BMW’s. The ad details a recent 60k service which included fitment of a new timing belt, and mileage is said to be a documented 62,500. Condition also looks quite decent, and a BAR sticker means it shouldn’t be a problem to register in California. Find it here on eBay in Hernando, Florida with a $13k BIN.
