All Original 5K Miler: 1980 Dodge Aspen
This 1980 Dodge Aspen (VIN NL29CAB134738) is said to be an all original example with just 5,325 miles. Though photos are low resolution, the car looks to be in excellent, mostly unmodified condition. Though definitely a Malaise Era product, very few remain, and as a piece of well preserved history, this one probably can’t be beat. Find it here on eBay in Louisville, Kentucky with reserve not met.
35K Mile Survivor: 1982 Renault Fuego Turbo
This 1982 Renault Fuego (VIN VF1CD36B3C2580377) is described as a one previous owner, all original turbo/5-speed example with cold A/C and just 35k claimed accurate miles on the odometer. These cars were a fairly common sight until they all seemed to disappear on the same day sometime in the mid 90’s, and even back then, this one’s condition would have been pretty extraordinary. Find it here on eBay in Lakeland, Florida with reserve not met.
Show Car Styling: 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV w/ Breezeway
This 1959 Lincoln Continental Mark IV (chassis H9YC416203) is said to be one of just 955 sedans built, and the car looks incredible in photos–styling is definitely 50’s Detroit, but Lincoln did it differently from anyone else. The seller says it runs and drives well, and with a Mercury-style “Breezeway” electrically retractable rear window, 430ci V8 with nearly 500 lb. ft. of torque and an interior like that of a period show car, this thing has presence in spades. Find it here on eBay in Saint George, Utah with a $23k BIN.
$16K Flathead V8 Driver: 1936 Ford Tudor Sedan
This 1936 Ford Tudor sedan was restored in the late 1990’s, and though colors aren’t ideal, condition is said to be good, and upgrades like a 2-speed Columbia rear end are definitely worthwhile. A flathead V8/3-speed car, all this one seems to need is some new, more subdued and period correct colors. Find it here on Craigslist in Lebanon, Kentucky for $16k.
